Trying to make sense of it all
Trying to set everything straight
Why do I feel so small
Why is this world full of hate

I wish I could ease all your pain
But I’m still working on my own

Your broken heart is something I wish I could mend
But mine is still torn apart
I want to help you out my dear friend
But I can only deal with one broken heart

I wish that life were easy for you
But I don’t know how it could be
I really don’t know what to do
I need to focus on me

I wish I could make your smile flare
The one that I’ve been looking for
But mine is still no where
And I need to find it once more

So I’m sorry I can’t help you
But this time I can’t take the time
Helping others is all I ever do
Now I’ve got to work on the problems that are mine
